Start Dates for New and Returning SciFi Series and Movie Debuts

More information about the links posted on the right. >>>>>>>>>

August 4
Masters of Science Fiction: On ABC. A series of stand-alone episodes based on stories and novels written by famous SF authors. They have only four of the six episodes scheduled. Why?

Jekyll: On BBC America. Don't know what it is like. Risky putting up a link to it when that is the case, but it sounds interesting.

August 10
Flash Gordon: On SciFi. New "SciFi Original Series."

September 5
Reaper
: On The CW. Take the link to see a preview - they call it a comedy.

September 8
Torchwood: On BBCA. Torchwood is a secret government agency created by Queen Victoria after The Doctor (Who) saved her from the vampires from space. They don't have it listed yet on the BBCA site, so this is a link to the UK BBC site. The show is already running over there.

September ??
Smallville
: On The CW. Probably start the same week in September that all the other CW shows start.

September 24
Chuck
: On NBC. A tech-services nerd gets the entire government intelligence database downloaded into his brain.

Heroes: On NBC. Check out the Online Novels.

Journeyman:
On NBC. New time travel series. Having Heroes as a lead-in won't hurt.

September 25
New Amsterdam
:
On Fox. Just saw a commercial for this today. About an immortal trying to regain his mortality.

September 26
Bionic Woman
:
On NBC. Remake of the '70s series.

September 28
Stargate Atlantis:
On SciFi.

Moonlight:
On CBS. New series about a detective who happens to be a vampire. (Wouldn't that be like, you know, Forever Knight?)

November 11
Razor:
on SciFi. A prequel to the last season of Battlestar Galactica. It will itself be preceded by eight webisodes on SciFi.com in Sept/Oct.

November ??
Jericho:
On CBS. TV guide says it will come back in November. That's as close as I can get now. Reruns of season one are on now.

December
Tin Man:
On SciFi. Original miniseries - updated version of The Wizard of Oz.

Sometime in 2008 (January?)
Battlestar Galactica:
On SciFi. I guess they feel it is so popular, people will just wait patiently for it to come back.

Early 2008
Sarah Connor Chronicles
(link to news item on SciFi channel SciFiWire) A new series on Fox starting in early 2008. Yeah, right. Like that's going to last. Remember Firefly? (Odd coincidence: one of the show's stars is Summer Glau who played River Tam on Firefly and Serenity.)

Who Knows
Dresden Files:
On SciFi. No clue on SciFi.com. Anybody? Is it coming back?

SciFi still hasn't made an announcement for Dresden Files, but its pretty much cancelled. We have a campaign going to try to change their minds. C'mon over to http://dresdencity.org to find out more news and what we're doing. Bring anyone else who liked the show! Thanks.
